Hopewell Animal Hospital, a leading provider of comprehensive veterinary care, is thrilled to announce its 15th anniversary. To mark this significant milestone, the hospital is hosting an Open House event on August 19th from 11am -2pm, inviting the community to join in the celebration of their commitment to animal health and well-being.
Owners Kim Buchanan, MS, DVM, CVA, CVFT, CLSH, CVBMA, CVMMP, and Jerry Scheck, DVM, CVA, CSMP, CLSH, purchased the 25-year-old practice in 2008 from Dr. Les Scherr. Since then, Drs. Buchanan and Scheck with their team of highly skilled veterinarians and support staff, have earned a reputation for its compassionate care and state-of-the-art facilities.

Over the past 15 years, the doctors have expanded the practice to include many services not available elsewhere in the area. Hopewell Animal Hospital is a full-service hospital and so much more. They are proud to provide a full range of animal medical services and alternative/complementary medical treatments. Services offered include exams, in-house laboratory diagnostics, regenerative medicine, routine and advanced surgery, dentistry, cryo-surgery, spinal manipulation therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, physical therapy and rehabilitation, as well as specialty referral procedures such as ultrasound, endoscopy, and cardiology.

– Tours: Visitors will have the chance to go behind the scenes and witness the advanced medical equipment and technologies used in the treatment and care of animals. Come and see our Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) office, NEW rehabilitation office and NEW grooming center.
– Meet the Veterinarians: Attendees can engage in conversations with the skilled veterinarians of Hopewell Animal Hospital, learn about their areas of expertise, and seek valuable advice regarding their pets’ health.
– Fun Activities: A range of exciting activities, including face painting, dunk tank for charity, K9 Nose Work demos from a certified Nose Work instructor, a bouncy house, dog Olympics and much more!
– Educational Displays: Hopewell Animal Hospital will have educational displays to learn about various topics, such as preventive care, nutrition, and responsible pet ownership, allowing attendees to expand their knowledge of pet health and well-being.
